Holy Habits - A two-year journey to discipleship

Today: Sunday the Eighteenth of November 2018 saw the four churches of the Parish of Tamworth begin a two-year journey which is looking to learn from the account of the early Christian community that is Church as described in Acts 2.42-47:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.
All the believers were together and had everything in common.
They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.
They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

It was a great start as there were people from all four churches of the Parish, which are:

St Andrew's, Kettlebrook
St Chad's, Hopwas
St Editha's, Tamworth
St Francis', Leyfields and Coton Green

The ten areas to be explored, celebrated, lived out and made ours are:

Watch this space for ideas, discussions and honesty appraisal of the journey as we take it.

There's no claims of expertise or feeling that we know how to do the stuff - just an honest journeying with photographs of the scenery on the way and conversations about the places we stopped and what we found.
