Advent Course - Week 1

As we approached the start of our Holy Habits journey, every service and meeting began with the Acts 2.42-47 passage.

So does the course, followed by a prayer for Holy Habits

 After which was the video 'Unexpected Generosity' which you too can watch below.

 Then came some questions:                                                            

 

Followed by another video clip 'Giving to Strangers:

 And a reading of the Magnificat

with some thoughts, observations and a bit of thinking about Mary and her call to be the Theotokos
'The God Bearer' and what that meant.


Before we watched a video clip of Bono in Washington: 'Give like God Gives'

And as we always do when we do courses we started to make connections and ask people to discuss with each other the questions below:

Before sending everyone home with some thinking and things to consider doing during the time before we met again (ie. 'Next Week')

And we prayed a prayer and went home (hopefully rejoicing)
